About SoCalOrange

The Syracuse University Alumni Club of Southern California (SUACSC) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization with the goal of providing social, professional, and philanthropic activities for Orangemen and women in the Southern California region.

Since the club’s founding in 1982, our efforts have included networking events, mentorship and job support for Syracuse graduates, game-watching gatherings, academic scholarships, fundraisers, and more. We’re always open to new members and ideas, so join us for our next meeting!

SUACSC and SULA – What’s the difference?

SULA is Syracuse University’s campus on the West Coast. Much like the Greenberg House in Washington, DC, or the Lubin House in New York City, SULA employs full-time staff and is funded by the University.

Since 2006, SULA has invited students for an immersion week in Los Angeles, also known as “Sorkin Week.” SULA also coordinates the LA Semester, whereby students at the Newhouse School of Public Communications and School of Visual and Performing Arts have the opportuntiy to spend a semester working in the entertainment field and learn, first hand, what’s required to have a successful career in Hollywood.

Both organizations proudly support one another, working together to promote a creative and intellectual environment for alumni and friends of the University.
